Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 20, 2026
This policy covers thorsteingames.com and the games on it: Find the Fox, Sheeple, Bank, Blocker Rush, Tier Ranker and Bracket Maker. The short version: there are no accounts, we collect as little as we can, and we never sell your information.
What we collect
- Contact form. Your name, email address and message. The form is handled by Formspree, which delivers it to us. We use it only to reply to you.
- Online multiplayer games (Find the Fox, Sheeple, Blocker Rush). The player name you choose and what you send during a game, such as answers, votes and chat. These go to our game server so the other players in your room can see them, and are not kept after the game ends.
- Tools that stay on your device (Bank, Tier Ranker, Bracket Maker). Your lists, brackets, players and images are saved in your own browser and are never sent to us. Image searches go directly to Wikimedia. A Bracket Maker share link carries the bracket inside the link itself; we don't store a copy.
- Technical data. Like nearly every website, our hosting providers automatically log basic request information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, to keep the site running and secure.
Cookies and local storage
Our games use your browser's storage to remember things like your player name, a random player ID that lets you rejoin a game, your settings and your saved work. These are needed for the games to work. Some games also use the analytics and advertising cookies described below.
Analytics and advertising
Our games show ads through Google AdSense to cover hosting costs (the Thorstein Games home page doesn't). Some of them (currently Sheeple and Find the Fox) also use Google Analytics to count visits and see which features get used.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's advertising cookies let it and its partners serve ads based on your visits to our sites and other sites on the internet.
- You can turn off personalized ads in Google's Ads Settings, and opt out of many third-party vendors at aboutads.info.
- Read how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
Your choices
- You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings. Clearing site data also deletes anything a game saved on your device.
- To ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted, use the contact form. Since we have no accounts, that usually means your contact form messages.
Children
Our games are for general audiences and are not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
